A journalist, armed with two interns travels to answer an unusual newspaper ad involving time travel with the intentions of writing about the man who placed it.

Darius (Aubrey Plaza) is a very cynical loner that works as an intern for a Seattle magazine.  During a round table meeting for story ideas one of the journalists, Jeff (Jake Johnson), volunteers to investigate a strange advertisement that was placed in the newspaper.  Once he gets the assignment, he takes two interns along, Darius and Arnau (Karan Soni) with him to get the story.

The team meets Kenneth ( Mark Duplass), a eccentric, paranoid supermarket clerk who claims to have gone back in time once before and plans on going back again.  Jeff tries to become his partner but Kenneth doesn't believe that he is the right person for the job.  Darius then gets Kenneth to warm up to her and after Kenneth decides that she is the right person to travel back in time with him, he starts to train her for their journey.

So, I thought this film was very interesting.  I recognize right off the bat that this film is not going to be for everyone.  As I was watching this film, I found myself saying "This movie is kinda strange" so even I thought it was a little odd but although it was odd it was pretty good.  There are no big name stars in this film and I think that makes the film even better.  I am just not sure this film would be as good as it is if there had been a recognizable name in it.

The story is fun and the characters are likable.  At points in the film it is even easy to feel as if you have been in their shoes.  It is a film that shows that there are many sides to a person and sometimes people are more than what they seem.  At a hour and a half long,I think this film is worth the time it takes to watch it.  If you are looking for something a little different you should definitely check this one out and Don't Forget the Popcorn!
